Plain-English summary. PeriFlow is a wellness app, not a medical device or doctor — please consult a qualified clinician for medical advice. You're agreeing to use it lawfully and as intended. Subscriptions are 7-day free trial then $9.99/month or $79.99/year, and they auto-renew until you cancel from your device's subscription settings. You can stop using the app and delete your account any time.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and PeriFlow ("we", "us", "our") regarding your use of the PeriFlow mobile app and the website at periflow.io (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use PeriFlow

You must be at least 18 years old to use PeriFlow. The app's content is designed for adults navigating perimenopause and is not appropriate for children. By using PeriFlow you represent that you are at least 18.

You must use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws.

3. Your account

You can create an account using email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us at hello@periflow.io and we'll help.

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app under Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

4. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the PeriFlow app on devices you own or control, solely for your own personal, non-commercial wellness use, subject to these Terms and any rules from Apple or Google governing apps distributed through their stores.

The app, the website, and all content (including text, design, code, and the underlying phase model) are owned by PeriFlow and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

5.1 Free tier

The free tier gives you cycle phase tracking, period logging, and a basic symptom journal. You can use the free tier indefinitely without entering payment details.

5.2 PeriFlow Premium

PeriFlow Premium unlocks the full app: phase-matched meals, the cycle-aware fasting timer, wellness exercises, the symptom heatmap, the personalisation engine, the clinical export, and cloud sync across all your devices.

5.3 Free trial

Premium starts with a 7-day free trial. To start the trial you'll add a payment method via Apple or Google. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.

5.4 Pricing

Prices may differ slightly in your local currency due to Apple's and Google's standard pricing tiers. The exact price you'll pay is shown on the in-app paywall and again in the native purchase confirmation sheet.

5.5 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (1 month or 1 year) until you cancel. Apple or Google will charge your payment method on file. You'll receive a renewal receipt from Apple or Google for each charge.

5.6 Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to Premium until then.

Because Apple and Google process the payments, cancellation must be done from your device's subscription settings, not from inside PeriFlow:

Apple and Google handle refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the App Store and Google Play, under their own refund policies. To request a refund:

If you've had an unusually bad experience and Apple or Google have declined a refund you believe was reasonable, email us at hello@periflow.io and we'll do what we can to help, though our ability to override their decisions is limited.

7. No medical advice

PeriFlow is a wellness app. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. The information in the app — including phase descriptions, meal suggestions, fasting guidance, and symptom-pattern observations — is educational and based on general reproductive endocrinology research. It is not personalised medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for guidance specific to your individual health, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on hormone replacement therapy, taking medication, or have any medical condition.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services in your country (999 in the UK, 911 in the US, 112 in the EU).

8. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you enter into PeriFlow — your symptoms, journal entries, custom meal notes, and so on. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display your content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you (including syncing it to your other devices).

We will never sell your content, share it with advertisers, or use it to train machine-learning models. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on how your data is handled.

9. Things you may not do

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice.

10. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Routine maintenance, third-party outages, or factors outside our control may cause temporary unavailability.

11. Changes to the app or these terms

We continuously improve the Service. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. Where a change has a material impact on you (for example, removing a feature you rely on, or changing the price of an existing subscription), we will give reasonable advance notice in-app or by email.

If we materially change these Terms, we will post the updated version here, change the "Last updated" date, and notify you. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't accept them, you may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create undue legal, reputational, or technical risk.

On termination, sections 7 (No medical advice), 13 (Disclaimer), 14 (Limitation of liability), 15 (Governing law), and any other sections that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that any information presented in it will be reliable for medical, dietary, or fitness decisions. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the exclusions in this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PeriFlow and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100 / $100 / €100 (whichever applies in your local currency).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, you may also have rights under those laws that we cannot waive — those rights remain available to you regardless of this section.
